This year we started school on August 12th, so I've been back in school for a month already. Last year I would have gotten all A's on my report card...if it hadn't been for those 2 B's. So this year, I am going for all A's.
I'm a fifth grader, which is the highest grade in my school, and I have lots of responsibility. But I am doing well balancing my school work, chores, service projects and extra-curricular activities.
This week, I was the first one finished with my weekly work plan. And I got 100% on my vocabulary test. I was nervous and wasn't sure that I would do well, but I did!
Next week, I get to be anchor on our school's morning broadcast as a part of the technology team. I think all my experience behind a camera will help with that, don't you? :-)
I'm also looking forward to being on the robotics team, where we will learn how to program Lego Robots. Pretty cool, huh? I am also thinking about joining the problem solving team again. We got 3rd place in our competition last year, and I want to do better.
It's important to me to be involved in my school community as well as doing my best and getting good grades. What do you like about your school? Leave your comments below!
